Sharon Ann Goodchild

Sharon Ann Goodchild, age 70, of Stafford, VA passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at her residence. She was born on June 5, 1951 in Washington, DC the daughter of the late Joseph George and Gloria Ellen (Burton) Linsler. Survivors include her loving husband, Robert G. Goodchild, Jr.; one son, Christopher Joseph Goodchild and wife Jenny Tevalt of Middletown VA; one daughter, Carinne Yvonne Kocan and husband Kirk of New Market, MD; one sister, Darlene Marie Pack and husband Douglas of Stafford, VA. Sharon was also a grandmother of six. Anthony and Zachary Kocan, Angelina and Gia Goodchild, Eleanor Tevalt and Margaret Joy Goodchild. She was a big advocate for and heavily involved in their lives and supported their endeavors as with those of all the people that she loved. Earlier in life, Sharon was a ballet dancer extraordinaire under the tutelage of Madame Solange (Binda) McLean of the Northern Virginia Ballet Academy. She continued her studies in dance at Sullins College in Bristol, VA where she graduated as class salutatorian and then returned to northern Virginia to teach dance. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30am Monday, March 7, 2022 at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford. Interment will follow at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
