Lowanda Ruth Jenkins

Lowanda Ruth Jenkins, 82, of Stafford County passed away Saturday, July 12, 2014, at Woodmont Nursing Center. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Jones and Carolyn Jones-Wynn; four sons, Danny, Johnny, Robert and Billy Jones; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Barr; and five brothers, Bill, Jimmy, Gerald, Shirell and Paul Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Jenkins, and granddaughter Carrie Jones. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 17, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 18, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park. Memorial donations may be made in her name to Mary Washington Hospice or Woodmont Nursing Center.
