Diane Leigh Shafer

Diane Leigh Crowder Shafer, 58, of Warrenton, VA died on January 26, 2017. She was born in Norfolk, VA on May 18, 1958. Diane is the daughter of the late Thomas Terry and Marilyn Ann Blystone Crowder. She is survived by her son, Robert Lynn Dunn and his partner Hayden Hudgins; her sister, Rebecca Ann Crowder Wells and her husband William Wells; her twin sister, Deborah Lynn Crowder Johnson; her uncle David Blystone; and her fiancé Keith Kemper. She is also survived by six nieces and nephews – George, Benjamin, Becky, Jennifer, Jessica and Megan - and eight great-nieces and nephews – Kaila, Kara, Karlie, Jaden, Autumn, Justin, Alicia and Lillie. Diane was preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Marilyn Crowder. Diane will be missed by all her co-workers and friends at Atlantic Coast Cotton, where she was one of the first employees and worked for 30 years. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Services located at 186 Shelton Shop Road in Stafford, VA. A visitation will take place from 11:30 – 12:30 and the Memorial Service will be from 12:30 – 1:15.
