Cecelia Ann Carey

Cecelia Ann Carey, age 75, of Stafford, VA passed away peacefully on Friday, November 10, 2023 at her home. She was born on May 4, 1948 in Quantico, VA the daughter of the late Robert John and Frances Adele Tutton. She graduated from Stafford High School in 1966. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Smithdeal Massey Business School in Richmond in 1968. Upon graduation, she worked for Potomac News until 1971 after which she worked as a teacher's aide for Stafford County Public Schools serving children with learning disabilities and special needs until her retirement. In addition to being an advocate for children, she was a staunch animal advocate and lover of her many cats. Cis was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Jovonna Lynn Carey. Survivors include her loving husband, Harvey W. Carey; one brother, Dr. Robert J. Tutton and wife Dale of Chesterfield, VA; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 15, 2023, from 4:00-6:00pm at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 186 Shelton Shop Road, Stafford, VA. Funeral services and interment will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Christian Chapel Church, 3262 Christian Chapel Church Road, New Hill, NC 27562.
