Rita Colley Hendrickson

Rita Colley Hendrickson passed away comfortably in her home after a courageous battle against cancer. She is survived by her mother Stella Gary, Stepfather Tom Gary, sister Brenda Gutierrez, brother Steve Colley, Son Benjamin Hendrickson, Daughter Rebecca Hendrickson and husband Mike Hendrickson. Rita was a beautiful soul and touched the lives of all she met. She was aways concerned about the welfare of others in all walks of life. She spent many weeks of vacation time volunteering with World Blindness Outreach. She traveled to Vietnam, The Philippines, Ethiopia, Dominican Republic, Honduras and others that escape me. These trips let her see how people lived. She gained an appreciation of the little things in life. To be thankful for what we have and be thankful for family and friends. Rita loved her family and friends very much. Her family was able to come visit with Rita and give comfort and love. We all love her and will miss her so very much but she will be with us each and every day. As a friend said she will show herself as a butterfly that keeps showing up or a leaf falls on us at a random moment. Instead of flowers donations can be made in her name to World Blindness Outreach based out of Lebanon Pennsylvania.
