Loretta Johnson

Loretta Johnson, 73, of Alexandria, passed away on August 4, 2022, in Fairfax VA. Loretta was born in Birmingham, Alabama to Lorraine Velma (Granny) Johnson on October 22, 1948. Loretta is a graduate from Wayne State University. Loretta worked as an Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist for the Federal Government for over 30 years. Loretta retired in 2007. Post retirement Loretta was an active member with the following organizations: The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Club (NOVABPW and Black in Government B.I.G.). Loretta is preceded in death by Lorraine Gray Mother, Julia Coleman Sister, Charlene Gray Sister. Loretta is survived by Lawrence and Lance (Sons), Veronica Gray (Sister), Allyse Cunningham, Lance McLean-Johnson, Onnalisa McLean-Johnson and Savannah McLean-Johnson Grandchildren, 9 Nieces and Nephews and 2 Great Nephews, and a number of cousins and other family members. Funeral services will be held from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM, on Sunday, September 4th, 2022, at Demaine Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery. Arrangements are by Demaine Funeral Home. The family of Loretta wishes to extend our sincere thanks to INOVA and Sentara for all that they did post stroke for Loretta.
