George Arlen Fletcher

George Arlen Fletcher George passed away on April 18, 2015, at home in Springfield, Virginia, his residence of 40 years. He was 85. He was originally from Carbon County, Utah and Stockton, California. Husband of 57 years to Mary A. Fletcher, father of Karen Fletcher Torstenson (Roger), Springfield, and Nancy Fletcher (John Robertson), Chicago. Grandfather of Deanna and Derek Torstenson and Jackie Robertson. The family also wishes to thank caregiver Nana Kamara. George worked for the Internal Revenue Service from 1962 - 1985, and was a CPA thereafter, operating his own business until 2012. He was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Springfield, since 1974, where a memorial service will be held on April 25 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Capital Caring Hospice or Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
