Carol DeAngelus Hirsch

Carol DeAngelus Hirsch died peacefully on November 26, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was 77. She was the loving wife of Donald Hirsch in Locust Grove, VA. Born in Providence, RI on January 6, 1938, she was the daughter of Joseph and Loretta Dagosta. She graduated from Katherine Gibbs School in 1957, and UVA in 1993. Of her career, she was most proud of the time she worked for Senator Alan Simpson at the U.S. Capitol. She loved music and sang with the Marine Corps Band. Besides her husband, she leaves her six loving children: Ralph DeAngelus, Chandler Hirsch, Cindy Hargest, Chet Hirsch, Hans Hirsch, and Kamala Vander Kolk. She was cherished by her 11 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson. She is the sister of Cynthia Biagioni of Jupiter, FL. A memorial service will be held at Demaine Funeral Home (5308 Backlick Rd in Springfield, VA), on January 9, 2016. The family will receive visitors at 2pm, and services begin at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America are appreciated.
