William Wade Frye

William Wade Frye, 90, of Richmond, Va., died peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, surrounded by his family. Wade was born in Pinehurst, N.C., the oldest son of Glenn and Mary Frye. He is survived by his wife, Kitty; three children and their spouses, Carol Kroll, Kathy and Ray Stell, and Bill and Kate Frye. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Denise Frye; and son-in-law, John Kroll. He adored his grandchildren Evan (Stephanie), Lorna, Erin, Basil (Amber) and Tucker. Wade served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He retired as a tax analyst from CSX Transportation after 40 years of service. The family will receive friends at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd. on Friday, April 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 27 at 12 noon at Westhampton Memorial Park with a reception to follow at Hope Church on Patterson Avenue.
