SNAPP, Marjorie Wood, 92, 0f Richmond, Va., departed this life on November 2, 2015. The wife of Roy Herbert Snapp for 71 years; and daughter of Rufus A. Wood and Anna Belle Coley Wood of Amelia, Va., she is survived by two sons, Herbert Donald “Don” Snapp and his wife, Linda, and Gerald “Jerry” Coley Snapp and his wife, Sarah “Sally”, all of Atlanta, Ga.; one daughter, Betty Snapp Barrett and her husband, Lee, of Lancaster, Pa.; four grandchildren, Corey, Wesley and his wife, Meredith, Ansley and Hampton Snapp of Atlanta, Ga.; one sister, Jean Wood Reams of Amelia, Va. She was preceded in death by one brother, Rufus Milton Wood; and two sisters, Kathleen Wood Baldwin and Eloise Wood Tucker. Mrs. Snapp was a member of Derbyshire Baptist Church, an employee of the Internal Revenue Service, during WWII (during which time Roy served in The U.S. Army and was a POW), and a retiree of Sears.
The family will receive family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 6, 2015, at the Parham Chapel-Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Road, Richmond, Va. 23229. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015, at the funeral home. Interment at Westhampton Memorial and Cremation Park, Richmond, Va. Contributions may be made to Derbyshire Baptist Church.
