Lynn Robertson Bailey of Varina passed away peacefully Saturday June 1, 2024 at her home in Varina. Lynn was the wife of Ryland Y. Bailey, Jr.. Lynn was born in Richmond, May 15,1956, a daughter of the late William E. Robertson and Charlotte W. Robertson of Highland Springs. She is preceded in death by her sister Gayle Walcher of Littleton, CO. She is survived by her two "noodles" niece Erika Walcher of Littleton, CO; nephew Stefan Walcher(Ashley), great nephew Cruz, great niece Ruby of Steamboat Springs, CO; mother in law Pencye M. Bailey, sister in law P. Lynette Bailey of Richmond; brother in law Thomas M. Bailey (Mary) of Midlothian; nephews Tom Yancey Bailey (Cindy) of Camp Hill, PA; Marshall S. Bailey (Ashley) of Richmond; Adam S. Bailey (Alycia) of Midlothian; niece Sarah W. Bailey of Midlothian; four great nephews Cooper Ryland Bailey, Parker William Bailey, Asher East Bailey and Liam Lowrimore Bailey. Lynn worked at various agencies for the State of Virginia as a budget analyst and retired after eighteen years of service.
Lynn loved animals especially horses and did dressage in her younger years with her horse Foxy who are now both in heaven.
Lynn had a small farm in Varina where she lived and kept her horse Jet, her dog Wags and her cat Sophia.
Lynn met her husband of twenty-six years at Centenary United Methodist Church and attended regularly until she became ill and staying home on Sunday she watched First Baptist Church and later became a member of First Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd on June 10, 2024 at 11am by Reverend Dr. Mathew Bates, private internment. Lynn loved flowers or send a donation to your favorite charity.
