Beverly Marshall Gary

Beverly Marshall Gary, 85, of Richmond, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 28, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Letcher Gary Sr. She is survived by her son, Rick Gary Jr. and his wife, Barbara, also of Richmond; daughters, Peggy Gary of Virginia Beach, Va., and Abby Thompson and her husband, Donnie, of Mechanicsville, Va. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, Brittany, Brandon, Kirsten, Marshall, Corey, Matthew and Emily. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1944, she attended Virginia Intermont College. She was a homemaker and occasionally worked in the family business, Marshall's Men's Clothing store in Richmond. She was a longtime member of Ridge Baptist Church and a volunteer at Henrico Doctor's Hospital. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 3, 2013 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Parham Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 1771 N. Parham Rd., and where services will be held Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.
