Robert D. Lysaght, 80, of South Whitley, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013. He was born on July 8, 1933 in St. Joseph, Missouri. He worked as a plant manager at Essex and United Technologies. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of local American Legions, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and Am. Vets. Surviving family include his wife of 46 years, Mary (Garton) Lysaght of South Whitley; children, Brian Lysaght of South Whitley, Katherine (Joe) Schuhler and Denice Bruick, both of Fort Wayne, Lisa (Mike Henz) Lysaght of Angola, Richard (Donna) Lysaght of Hicksville, OH, Rhonda (companion Tony Hicks) Lysaght and Robert (Angie) Lysaght both of South Whitley; 12 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild; 2 sisters, and 3 brothers. Besides his parents, he was preceded in passing by 2 brothers. Mass of Christian burial will be 2:00 pm, Monday, August 12, 2013 at St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church, 315 S. Line Street, Columbia City, IN 46725 with visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in the Green Hill Cemetery, Columbia City. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, Ossian is handling arrangements.
