VIRGINIA BEACH – Sybil J. Hatfield, known to most as “Memaw”, passed away on November 1, 2017. Born in Phenix City, Alabama, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Charito Nuguid and Carolina Nuguid-Goode and her brothers Richard Martin & Walter Martin. Left to cherish her memory are: her daughters, Carmen M. Ramage, of Virginia Beach and Vickie Barnett, of Norfolk; her sisters, Gloria Wade and Rhonda Lunsford and brother, Delmar Martin; 9 grandchildren, Christina Nuguid, Amanda Ramage, Alysha Goode, Andrew Ramage, Angela Ramage, James, Jennifer and Michael Bryan, Anna Hatfield; and her dearest, best friends Carol Lilly and Jennifer Love. She also has many great grandchildren, and an amazing church family at Kempsville Christian Church and a multitude of wonderful friends.
Sybil’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her sense of humor, her smile, and her love for Jesus Christ. She was a thoughtful, generous, loving, and caring, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, dear friend and Memaw to many people.
A visitation will be on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 Virginia Beach, Blvd., VA Beach, 23502 from 5-8 pm. A service to remember Sybil’s life will be held at Kempsville Christian Church, 5424 Parliament Dr., VA Beach, VA 23462on Monday, November 6, 2017, at 1:00 pm with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
