Shirley J. Sears Wheatley

SHIRLEY J. SEARS WHEATLEY, 75 years of age, died Monday, November 4, 2013. Shirley was born March 3, 1938 in Harrison County, Indiana to the late Chester and Elsie (Endres) Sears. She worked for some 15 years at the Honey Crème Donut Shoppe in New Albany where she met and knew all of the patrons. Shirley loved baseball and basketball, especially the Chicago Cubs and Indiana University basketball. She attended Northside Christian Church and will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and two children: Michael Paul Wheatley and Lori Ann Wheatley. Survivors include two daughters, Catherine Rohmann and her husband, Paul and Diana Sue Daugherty and her husband, Bill; seven grandchildren, Dale, Stephen, Cody, Paige, Lori, Shannon and Michael; two great grandchildren, Alex and Cienna; a sister, Mary Wheeler; and a brother, C. J. Sears and his wife, Ethelda. Reception of family and friends will be from 2 pm ~ 8 pm Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be held at 12 Noon on Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with private interment in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, New Albany.
