Nécrologie de Paul Anthony Wundrak
Paul Anthony Wundrak, 65, was born in Clark County, Indiana, to Joseph and Mildred. He graduated from Jeffersonville High School, married Sharon Rose Gardner, and they raised three children - Robyn Ann O’Brien, Anthony Lee, and Kelly Morgan. Robyn was his favorite. Paul was more than a biased father; he was a loving son, a present grandson, a goofy brother, a favorite nephew and cousin, a loyal friend, and a reliable neighbor. He was also a mentor and father figure to many feral neighborhood children who loving called him “Big Smell.” Later in life, Paul would become a Paw Paw to four perfect Grandsons; Drew and Liam, Aiden and Evan. Paul never complained of back pain when he held these boys in his arms. They were the very best medicine. They were his pride and his purest joy. As a person, Paul possessed innumerable qualities, his greatest were having a big heart, an unshakeable dedication to family, and being able to see beauty in every situation. Paul was also known for having an inner child who rarely slept and being able to make jorts, tube socks, and work boots look easy. He had an inextinguishable sense of humor until the very end. We know that Paul would have liked for you, the reader, to believe that he succumbed to his wounds after vanquishing the dreaded Wampus Cat that stalked the banks of Silver Creek for so many decades, but that would be misreporting. He did valiantly fight a years-long battle against a rare and incurable disease – Amyloidosis. Paul Anthony Wundrak peacefully and painlessly passed away in a warm bed, surrounded by all of his children who held his hands until he drifted away; down the hall, through the doors, and into the arms of the Universe. Now at peace, he is legend. Paul’s family would like to invite the extended family, friends, neighbors, doctors and nurses, anyone and everyone who cared for him, to a celebrate his life on Saturday, May 18, from 2-6 PM, at the Coon Hunters Lodge, 703 Potters Lane, Clarksville, Indiana. Food and refreshments will be exchanged for stories. Please note there, there will be a memorial service at 3:00 p.m.
