Matthew "Matt" Cameron Flanders

Matthew “Matt” Cameron Flanders, 28 years of age passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022. He was born on October 18, 1993 in New Albany, Indiana to Charles “Chuck” Flanders and Theresa Flanders. Matt graduated from Fern Creek High School in 2012. He worked with his family at DePrez Quality Jewelry and Loan. Matt spent some time coaching AAU Travel Baseball. He loved baseball and played it all his life, was a gun enthusiast and enjoyed learning about and collecting jewelry. Matt had a big heart and was always available to help anyone who needed it. His family meant the world to him and he loved spending time with them. Matt was proceeded in death by his brother, Christopher Flanders, and his grandparents, Ollie and Dee Flanders and Bob DePrez. Survivors include his fiance, Taylor Prokosch; children, Nova Flanders, Reid Flanders; parents, Charles “Chuck” Flanders and Theresa Flanders; sisters, Jillian Flanders, Peyton Flanders; nieces and nephews, Jayden, McKenzie, Ryleigh and Ryan Flanders, and Keenan and Keylanni Lancaster; grandmother, Pauline DePrez and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm Wednesday, August 3, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. His funeral will be held at 3:00 pm, following visitation. Matt will be laid to rest in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150.
