Mary B. (Martin) Spalding, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021. The daughter of the late Noble and Dora Wilson Martin, Mary was born July 7, 1928 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Julius "J.D." Spalding; significant other, Malcolm Stewart; brother, Thomas Martin; and an infant sister. She was past President of Hobart Beach Post 1693 Ladies Auxiliary and was a member of Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church.
Mary is survived by her children, Barbara Best (Lester), Margo Davis (Gary), Robert Spalding (Janet), Donald Spalding (Mary Lynn), and Sherri Wood (Timothy); 23 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4 pm ~ 8 pm Friday and after 9 am Saturday at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 11 am Saturday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel with burial following in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
