Jo Ellen "Jodie" Kost

Jo Ellen "Jodie" Kost, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. She was born in New Albany, Indiana, on February 23, 1947, to the late Joseph and Lula (Pullen) Kost. Jodie practiced as a registered nurse in the ER at Baptist Floyd Hospital for over 40 years. In her free time, Jodie loved watching college football and the Kansas City Chiefs. She also loved to read. But above all, she loved her family. Along with her parents, Jodie is preceded in death by her brothers, Larry F. McCoy, and James P. Kost. She is survived by two sister in laws, Ruby McCoy of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Cheryl Kost of Lanesville, Indiana; nephews and nieces, Patrick Bowman, Phillip Kost (Katie), Sara Nessel (Gage), Jennifer Floyd, Larry Joe McCoy, Allen McCoy (Adrienne), and Douglas McCoy; great nieces and nephews, Victoria Floyd (Andrew), Elizabeth Floyd, Sofia Floyd, Bristol Kost, Easton Warren, Tiffany Buckland (Joshua), Rachel McCoy, Emily McCoy, Allissa McCoy, Khloe McCoy, Abbigail McCoy, and Allen McCoy Jr.; great-great nieces and nephews Rebecca and Zachary Buckland and Shiloh. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Heart Association or the American Lung Association.
