Janis McNutt

Janis Hook McNutt, 70 years of age, died Tuesday December 26, 2017 with her husband at her side. Janis was born October 3, 1947 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Carl Hook and Patsy (Robb) Hook Hansford. Janis retired after some 35 years in the banking business serving both as a Vice-President and in International Banking with several banks throughout the years. She loved her husband and dance partner of 22 years Stanley McNutt, as well as line dancing throughout the area. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and her step-mother Gladys Hook. Survivors include: Husband of 22 years Stanley D. McNutt Jr. Three Siblings; Carl A. Hook (Rebecca), Michael Hook (Tracy), and Scott Hansford (Julie). One nephew Zachary Hook (Emilie); five nieces Casey Hill (Nick), Allison Gwinn (Thomas), Alex Jacobs (Blake), Morgan Coale (Colton) and Tara Green (Adam). Also surviving are several great-nieces and nephews and best friends Donna and Dusty Holt. Visitation will be from 3:00pm to 8:00 pm Tuesday January 2nd, and after 10:00 am Wednesday January 3rd, at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana. Her Funeral Service will be 12:00 noon Wednesday January 3rd, 2018 in the Kraft Charlestown Rd. Chapel with cremation to follow.
