Harold Joseph Weber, 90 years of age of died Sunday February 17th, 2013 at his residence in Clarksville. Harold was born March 6th, 1922 in Jeffersonville, IN to the late Virgil and Anne KuehnWeber. He was the widower of Ruby A. Slattery Weber who died in 1990. Harold was retired from the E.I. Dupont Co. in Louisville and after retirement worked at Ace Hardware in New Albany for some 20 years. Harold loved people, golf, fishing, and was a sports enthusiast. He never met a stranger and he will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He was an Army Air Corp veteran of W.W. #2 serving in the Asiatic-Pacific Theater, a member of the Cardinal Ritter Council K.of C. and St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffersonville, IN. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, wife, infant son Harold Joseph Weber Jr., brother Wayne V. Weber, Sister-in-Laws Nellie Roberts, June Harbison, Margaret Stocksdale and a Brother-in-Law Curtis Slattery.
Survivors include:
Sons: Joseph P. Weber and wife Lisa Clarksville, IN
Kevin V. Weber and wife Judy Floyds Knobs, IN
Four Grandchildren: Duffy, Mickey Daniel, and Cameron Weber.
Two Brother-in-Laws: Charles “Mickey” and Marvin Slattery.
Reception of Friends and Family will be from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm Wednesday February 20th, and after 8:00 am Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring St, New Albany. Funeral Liturgy will be Celebrated 11:00 am Thursday February 21st, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Jeffersonville, IN. Burial with full military honors to follow at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery in New Albany, IN.
A Prayer Service will be held at 4:00 pm Wednesday at Kraft’s.
