Earl Woodrow Adam Jr., age 88, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024. He was born on September 28, 1935 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Earl W. Adam Sr. and Charlotte Snook Adam. He was retired Butcher with Kroger with over 57 years of service. Earl was a Sergeant in the United States Army. He was a lifelong member and a five year past master of Pythagoras Lodge 355 for over 55 years and a member Masonic Temple Lodge 39 and was a 33rd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Rosetta Adam Harvey; and a brother in law, Bernie Hosclaw Sr.
Earl is survived by his wife, Jeanette Adam; children, Todd Adam (Kimberly) and Scott Adam (Holly); step children, Stephen Shetter Jr. (Mindy), Alan Shetter (Robin), Melissa Stone (Marty) and Sheila Hubert; grandchildren, Matthew, Maggie, Michael, Ian (Leigh), Sean, Aaron, Stephen, Donald, Monica, Rosemary, Cade, Brittany, Shawna, Kaelin, Nathan, AJ, Andrew, Alexavier, Alexis and Joshua; a sister, Carolyn Sciarra (Larry); many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am till 2:00 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 with his funeral service beginning at 2:00 pm at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Earl will be laid to rest in Kraft Graceland Memorial Park.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the New Albany Indiana Freemasons Lodge 39.
