Dennis Earl Carr

Dennis E. Carr, 74 years of age, died Tuesday, May 18, 2021. The son of the late Clifford and Madelyn Carr, Dennis was born October 22, 1946 in Belleville, Illinois. Dennis was a self-employed lumber broker for many years. He had a high school education and was a certified hardwood lumber inspector by the National Hardwood Association. He loved to ride motorcycles, cook, hunt, and fish. If he wasn’t enjoying one of his many hobbies, you could usually find him at Shuppert’s Corner standing at his post as the unofficial mayor of Floyds Knobs. Dennis is survived by two sons, Jason Carr and his wife, Jeni, and Adam Carr and his wife, Deon; three grandchildren, Justin Carr, Preston Carr, and Rylee Carr; and many friends and business associates. Visitation will be 11 am ~ 7 pm Tuesday, May 25th at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany IN. His Funeral Service will be conducted at 7 pm Tuesday in the Kraft Charlestown Road Chapel. Dennis will be buried next to his parents in Valhalla Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Belleville, Illinois on Wednesday, May 26th.
