Carol Ann Read

Carol Ann Read, 73, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Baptist Health Floyd. Carol was born in Jeffersonville, Indiana on January 27, 1949, to the late Carl and Anna Braun. She was a retired educator with 43 years of service at Our Lady of Perpetual Help School where she also was a member. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a son, John Read. Carol is survived by a son, Todd (Christy) Read; grandchildren, Stella Sophia Read, Penelope Christine Read and Deborah Lewter; two great grandsons, Orion Curry and Colt Curry; a sister, Mary Kaye Vega; a nephew, JJ (Amber) Vega and husband to her children, Mike Read. Visitation for Carol will be held Monday, November 28, 2022, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, Indiana 47150. A Funeral Mass will be conducted on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 1752 Scheller Lane, New Albany, Indiana with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
