Brenda Faye (Blair) Kerstiens

Brenda Faye Kerstiens (Blair), born on March 10, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 77 in Auburn, Indiana. Brenda was a cherished floral designer whose creativity and skill brightened many lives. Beyond her professional achievements, she was passionate about floral designing, cake making, and various arts and crafts, which brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, James Kerstiens; daughter, Deaneen Pashea and her husband Richard of Avilla, Indiana; daughter, Candace Carter and her husband Kyle of New Palestine, Indiana; son, Aaron Kerstiens and his wife Amber of Fishers, Indiana; brother, Thomas Blair and his wife Gayle of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; and brother, Donald Blair of Louisville, Kentucky. Brenda's legacy continues through her grandchildren, Alexander Pashea, Malana Pashea, Colin Carter, Nyla Kerstiens, and Ethan Kerstiens. Brenda was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Smith; and her parents, Catherine and Earmon Blair. Brenda will be remembered by her dedication to her children and their education, as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a friend whose strength, determination, and love remain an everlasting source of inspiration. Her family and friends are forever grateful for the beautiful memories created together and will continue to cherish them. Visitation for Brenda will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Kraft Funeral Service, 708 E. Spring Street, New Albany, Indiana 47150. Following the visitation will be a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Starlight, 8310 St John Road, Navilleton, Indiana 47119.
