Arthur "Butch" Thomas Whiteman

Arthur Thomas Whiteman, age 80, of New Albany, Indiana passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023. Arthur was born in New Albany, Indiana on March 20, 1943 to the late Thomas and Beatrice Whiteman. He was retired from Colgate. He loved playing basketball with Jeff Parks 60 and over league and enjoyed spending time working in his yard. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Mix. Butch is survived by his wife of 8 years, Carole Whiteman; children, Shannon Lyles (Shayne), Shawn Whiteman, Jennifer Miller and Tony Miller; grandchildren, Allison, Matthew (Kari), William, Shawn Jr., Austin, Sarah and Ashley; several great grandchildren; a nephew, Jack Mix (Peggy); a niece, Janie (Barry); three great nephew and one great niece. Visitation will be from Noon to 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at Kraft Funeral Service, 2776 Charlestown Road, New Albany, Indiana with a service to celebrate his life at 2:00 pm.
