Maude Marshall Henderson

Maude Marshall Henderson died on August 27, 2023, after celebrating her 90th birthday in June. She was predeceased by her husband, Sherman D. Henderson; brothers, Jay R. Marshall (Barbara Turner) and Richard F. Marshall (Jane Moyer); and sister-in-law, Wanda Buck Marshall. She is survived by her step-children, Elizabeth (Shirley Bealbor) and David Henderson (Kit Bigelow); brother, Phillip M. Marshall; and sister, Carolyn M. Payne (Tom); sister-in-law, Carol Marshall; many step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Maude grew up on the family farm near Arcola, VA, and graduated from Aldie HS. She was a member of the 4-H Club where she excelled in sewing and baking. Having graduated from Madison College (now JMU) in 1955 with a degree in Home Economics, she taught at Gunston Jr. HS, Arlington, VA. After retiring, she and her husband traveled. She will be buried at Mt. Zion Cemetery, Aldie, VA, on October 13th at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mended Hearts, Chapter 28, P.O. Box, 70234, Richmond, VA, 23255.
