Nécrologie de Emma Inez Bush
Bush/Emma Inez (Perkins) passed on to Glory to be with her beloved Savior Jesus on November 29, 2016, at age 93. Born of humble beginnings in Goldsboro, NC, “Inez” was one of eight siblings. She is survived by one brother, Elmer Perkins of Lawrenceville, GA, and by her children, Diane Gittin (Larry), Phyllis Dowdy (Don), twins Robert A. Bush (Holli) and Barbi Partlow (Steve); and Jacki Thompson (Randy); and her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. While raising her family, her late husband, Dr. Robert E. Bush employed her in his optical shop where she learned opticianry. She studied and earned her Optician’s License in her late 50’s, which was quite an accomplishment. Her art work was her passion, among other pursuits. She had a talent for portrait painting and a love for painting birds and nature in oils. She also loved gardening, sewing, cooking gourmet meals, and reading her Bible. Inez had battled cancer more than once in her lifetime, and always assured the family, “I’ll be fine!” She even cared for our father when he battled Parkinson’s disease when she was in her late 80’s. Inez was an amazing woman of God, and a longtime member of St. Giles Church in Richmond. The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 2nd from 6-8pm at Woody’s Huguenot location, and a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 3rd at 2pm at St. Giles Church, 5200 Grove Ave. Richmond VA 23226. Family will attend a private burial at Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Giles Mission Expansion Fund at the above address.
