Harriet H. Harris

Harriet H. Harris, of Hanover, VA., (Age 89), passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Loving mother of James E. Harris, David L. Harris, Thomas M. (Robin) Harris, and Nancy E. Thompson; sister of Marilyn H. Lipe and cherished grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. Hayden, Sr. and Helen D. Hayden, brother, John T. Hayden, Jr., daughter, Rosemarie Stocks, and husband, Thomas L. Harris. Harriet enjoyed gardening, was a bookkeeper for Harris Excavation, and was a member of Cool Springs Baptist Church. Relatives and friends are invited to Harriet’s visitation at Woody Funeral Home-Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd., Mechanicsville, VA on Monday, January 22 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A graveside service will follow at Signal Hill Memorial Park, 12360 Hanover Courthouse Rd., Hanover, VA, at 2 PM.
