Shirley Campbell Miller, 85, went home to be with her Lord on May 31, 2024. Born June 14, 1938 in Nelson County, she was the youngest of 12 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elpherson (Epp) & Sally Campbell; her 11 siblings; her first husband, Lloyd Sale, and two infant daughters, Gloria Jean Sale and Vicky Lynn Sale. She leaves behind her husband of 42 years who absolutely adored her, Preston Miller and her children, Sandy Sale (Nancy), Alan Sale (Sherry), and Cheryl Moore (Gary). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Victoria Critzer, Christina Goff (Rachel), Michael Sale (Erin), Daniel Sale (Emilee), Jennifer Raines (Nick), Christopher Moore (Kelsey), Jordan Moore and Terri Elliott; and great-grandchildren: Kelby Campbell, Carson Critzer, Drake Critzer, Joanna Goff, Emma Fulcher, Jackson Sale and Camley Raines, as well as many family and friends. She was employed at Flowers Bakery for many years, but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. She found humor in everyday things and could always bring a smile to your face. She was a member of Calvary Cross Baptist Church. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, June 7 at 11am at Whitten Monelison Chapel by the Rev. E. Wayne Hudson and the Rev. Gary L. Moore. Interment will be at Woodland Baptist Church Memorial Cemetery, 4434 Thomas Nelson Highway in Arrington. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 6, from 6-7:30 p.m. and one hour prior to service, at the funeral home.
