Ronald Edward Kennon, 51, of Madison Heights, passed away January 1, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Catherine Nicely Kennon.
Born June 6, 1961, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Ronnie Edward Kennon, and is survived by his mother, Frances Vest McGill and her husband James, of Lynchburg.
Mr. Kennon was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was retired from Bose Corp. as a designer, and was a former employee of Automated Conveyor Systems, in Lynchburg. He was a member of the Masonic Alpha Lodge, AF and AM, in Framingham, MA.
Survivors also include two children, Cherie K. Cyrus and husband Lee, of Appomattox, and Alexander R. Kennon, of Madison Heights; four siblings, Ronnie Dwayne Kennon and wife Hollie, of Madison Heights, Joe Kennon and wife Emily, of Gladys, Darlene Ayers, of Madison Heights, and Angela Martin and husband David, of Evington; grandson, Aiden Cyrus, other relatives and many friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2013, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, by Mike Miller and David Martin.
The family will receive friends after the service at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
Memorial contributions may be made to Centra Hospice.
