Allen "Bud" Lewis Campbell

Allen Lewis “Bud” Campbell, 84, of Amherst went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. He was the loving husband of Annabelle Cloude Campbell. Born on July 29, 1936 in Luray, he was the son of the late Lewis William Campbell and the late Virginia Atkins Campbell. Bud retired as the Assistant Principal from Amherst County Public Schools after 32 years of service and was devoted to his staff and loved by his students. He was also a coach for many years in Amherst County and will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him. Bud was a member of Amherst Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Dwight Campbell and Lynn Campbell. He leaves to cherish his memories his sweet loving wife, Annabelle Campbell; loving and devoted son, Tony Campbell and wife Vicky; and two brothers, Thomas Campbell and wife Tamra and Julian Campbell. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor David Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery.
