Our loving mother, Nellie Coffey Foster, 88 years old, of Lynchburg, passed after a long illness on January 17, 2024. She was a faithful and loyal servant to Our Heavenly Father God, and her Spirit has gone to be with Him until the Resurrection.
Nellie was a member of Philadelphia Church of God (Edmond, OK) and loved and obeyed God’s Laws. She loved the church, ministers, brethren and her family. Regional Director/Pastor Mr. Brian Davis officiating the service.
She was a loving and faithful wife to the late Thurman R. Foster, Sr., for 58 years, whom she married at the age of 16 years. God blessed her and Thurman with 10 healthy children.

(Randy) Foster Jr., and Lawrence Daniel Foster; two daughters Donna F. Shipman and Darlene F. Berryman; two sisters Dorothy C. McFadden and Rachel C. Sprouse; one brother Herman Coffey; a half-sister Louise Coffey; and her best friend Eleanor Vaughn.
She taught her children to believe, love and have faith in God and leaves with loving memories of her surviving children: Sons; John L. Foster (Audra) of SC, David M. Foster of Rustburg, Paul E. Foster, PA (Michelle) of Pamplin, Thomas S. Foster of Lynchburg; two daughters Wanda F. Matthews Almony of Rustburg and Katherine (Kitty) F.
