Lois Ann Cunningham Blair, 72, of Lynchburg, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 18, 2021 from her daughter’s residence.
Born in Gladys, August 6, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Harold Elbert Cunningham, Sr. and the late Nettie Magdeline Haythe Cunningham. Lois worked for the Lynchburg Area Center for Independent Living as an Administrative Assistant until January of 2021. She was very active in the community where she worked the voting polls, volunteered at LYNCAG and Rush Holms. Lois was a member of First Baptist Church of South Lynchburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Bud Cunningham and sisters, Barbara Jane Cunningham Scott and Phyllis “PeeWee” Cunningham Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Travis Poe (Jermaine); her son, Harry Blair, Jr; five grandchildren, Adair Boyd, Deja Boyd, Makayla Horsley, Warren “Alex: Horsley, and Jada Ann Blair; one great grandchildren, Major Knox; sisters, Sandra Smith (Sam) and Valerie Cunningham; and numerous niece, nephews, and other family members.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
