John Joseph Peirano Jr., born on December 5, 1959, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. A man of deep devotion to his loved ones, John lived his life with a zest for the things he enjoyed most, from sports to spending time with his family. A proud fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, John loved football and spent many Sundays cheering on his favorite team. His love for golf and bowling was matched only by his passion for NASCAR, where he faithfully followed legends like Dale Earnhardt and Rusty Wallace. John’s humor and love for joking around always brought a smile to the faces of those he held dear, especially his beloved grandchildren. John’s talents extended to the kitchen, where he was known for cooking up his famous lasagna, mac and cheese, and his treasured peanut butter balls, especially during Christmas. He found joy in these simple moments, cooking for his family, watching TV, and being with the people he loved. A dedicated member of Christian Life Church in Lynch Station, Virginia, John cherished his faith and the relationships he built within his community. He shared 32 years of marriage with his loving wife, Rhonda, a union filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. John is preceded in death by his parents, John Sr.and Rhoda Peirano and his brothers, Jerome and Jeffery Peirano. He leaves behind his devoted wife, Rhonda; his son, Jonathan (Stephany); his daughter, Candice Combs; his sisters, Joyce Younger, Jacqueline Tyree (Jamie), and Jennifer Stocker (David); his brother, Jack Alfred Peirano of Golden Ill.; his stepmother, Sharon Peters (Dan); and eight treasured grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel in Lynchburg, Virginia, at 4 p.m., with visitation starting one hour prior to the service at 3 p.m. The service will be officiated by Pastor Dennis Nichols and Pastor Mike Turner. Whitten Timberlake Chapel is assisting the family during this difficult time. John will be remembered for his love of family, his infectious humor, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
