Dorothy Gail Beahm McGann, 83, of Evington,
died Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Lynchburg
General Hospital. She was the widow of
Calvin Dickie McGann.
Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the
late Leonard Alvin Beahm and the late Maggie
Pearl Wilson Beahm Bowling.
Dorothy was a member of Living Water Ministries
and a retired nurses’ aide from the Bedford
Memorial Hospital. Dorothy loved and was very
proud of her children, grandchildren and
great grandchildren.
She is survived by six children,
Richard W. McGann and his wife, Linda,
Leonard C. McGann and his wife, Kitty,
Eugene K. McGann and his wife, Jody,
Patrick W. McGann and his wife, Victoria, all of
Lynchburg, Diane M. Gibson and her husband,
Wayne, of Georgetown, DE and Andrea M. Little
and her husband, Keith, of Cary, N.C.;
fifteen grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m.,
Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Whitten
Timberlake Chapel with Pastor Mack Almond,
officiating. Interment will follow in the Leffler
Memorial Community Cemetery.
The family really appreciates the care and concern
shown to Dorothy by Dr. David Smith.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to
1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Whitten
Timberlake Chapel.
