William L. Edwards

William Leon McKinley Edwards was born in Terre Haute, Indiana to Theodore & Gustava Edwards on October 19, 1940. He was the seventh of eight children born to this union. After graduating from Gerstmeyer Tech High School in 1958, William chose to enlist into the United States Air Force. While proudly serving His country for 22 years, William earned the title of Senior Master Sargeant. After being Honorably Discharged, William continued working on the Civil side at Naval Avionics for 15 more years, retiring in 1995. William them pursued various business ventures as an Entrepreneur. William married His current wife, Charlezetta, in June of 2007. She loved and cared for William devotedly until He departed this life on January 20th at the age of 78. William was preceded in death by His parents, four sisters; Clara Burroughs, JoEllen Shelby, Theodora Harris & Ernestine Jones, and one Brother; James "Sy" Jones. William leaves to cherish his memory, His loving wife Charlezetta. Daughter; Donna Edwards of Tulsa Ok., Sons; Darren & William of Vancouver Wa., Quincy Dennis of Indianapolis In., Marva Edwards of Vancouver Wa. Sisters; Florence Maxwell, Marguerite (Eugene) Driskell of Rochester NY., Estelle Grady of Indianapolis, In., Pamela Turnbough of Stone Mtn., Ga. Five Grandchildren, a host of Nieces, Nephews, other relatives and friends.
