Tonya Rene Pillow-Pardue, 53 years old of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on September 3rd, 2022 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Tonya was born in Indianapolis to William and Beverly Pillow on July 29th 1969. She attended Grandview Elementary, Springmill Elementary, Westlane Jr High School and graduated North Central High School in 1988. She attended Indiana Business College and IUPUI. She married Mr. Louis Pardue on October 15th, 2015 in Indianapolis, Indiana and shortly thereafter moved to Hopkinsville, Kentucky. She worked at Methodist Hospital IU Health as a Medical Unit Secretary for many years. While living in Kentucky, she was a sales associate for Lowe's, where she had many friends. Tonya loved to dance and she loved Prince, Michael Jackson and loved to travel. With extensive travels with her friends and family, she has been just about every island in the Caribbean and her favorite being Jamaica where everyone knew her name. She loved to cruise having been on at least 15 sailings and while on one cruise in Barbados, she and her father won a dance contest and won champagne and trophies. She is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Jamesetta Malone, her beloved Aunt Ms. Cubena Lewis and he wonderful great grandmother Mary Elizabeth Lewis-Ross. Tonya comes from a family of great women and superb role models. She enjoyed being married to Louis. He was the lover of her life. Tonya was a problem solver and gave advice and helped so many people. She and her husband people with domestic violence issues. She was such a loving and compassionate person. Tonya leaves to cherish her memory her mother and father; William and Beverly, her brother William, Jr., her beloved Aunt Tina Malone Reed (John), her Uncle Robert (Ana), her Aunt Pamela Forte Carter, her Uncle George Pillow (Paula), her Aunt Diane Pilllow-Black, Her Nephews; William Pillow, 3rd, Bryson Pillow, Jonah A. Pillow, Niece Bria Richardson and her beloved Mason Smith-Rivera. William and Beverly Pillow would like to give a heartfelt thank you to their son, Billy for the many times he went to see his sister and the many times that he drove William and Beverly to Hopkinsville and all the love and care he provided. They are so happy that their son takes good care of them when they don't take care of themselves. Beverly would also like to thank her sister Pam, that is the Minister of Music and providing her expertise. To Beverly's sister Tina: I love you and together we'll get through this. Our lives are forever changed, but we still have family. To Tonya's husband, Louis: You loved our child and she loved you. You never left her side "for sickness and in health, till death do us part." You took vows seriously and we thank you. The Pillows would also like to thank everyone for the phone calls, text, flowers and just your presence to let them know you care. They are humbled and grateful for all you have done to honor their wonderful daughter-Tonya Rene Pillow-Pardue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. A visitation for Tonya will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 West 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46208.
