Ronald Lee Thompson, 63, of Indianapolis, unexpectedly passed away September 20, 2019. Ron was born November 21, 1955 to Ira and Evelyn Thompson. He graduated from Bishop Chatard High School (’74) where he met the love of his life, Celeste (Stocker) Thompson. He graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and a Master’s Degree in Business Management. Ron is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 42 years, Celeste Thompson; his mother, Evelyn; his sons, Joe (Erin) and Lee (Katie). He was the proud grandpa of Macie, Allison, Lucas and Anna. Ron is also survived by his sisters, Patty Keenan and Debbie Carter (Les). He will be deeply missed by many lifelong friends. Ron was the President of Industrial Sales & Engineering. He had more than 40 years of experience in the industrial automation field. Ron was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church. He was a proud supporter of Butler University where his sons Joe and Lee are graduates. Ron was a good man who enjoyed time spent at the lake with his family and being with his grandkids. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 25, 2019 at St. Pius X Parish, 7200 Sarto Dr., Indianapolis, Indiana 46240. The family will receive friends and family at the church on Tuesday, September 24th from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. He will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens following the Mass on Wednesday. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Joe and Barb Krier Foundation at Krierfoundation.org and/or the Daughters of Holy Mary of the Heart of Jesus, 700 Lovers Ln., Steubenville, OH 43953.
