Roger N. Brown

Roger Newton Brown, 83, of Indianapolis, departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2015. Roger was born June 21, 1931 in Rockford, Illinois to the late Roy and Mildred (Gallagher) Brown. He worked his life as an Evangelist through his talents as a Southern Gospel Singer for the Church of the Nazarene. He traveled the country for revivals and concerts for 41 wonderful years. Roger was a member of the Southside Church of the Nazarene in Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his wives, Maxine Brown and Evelyn Brown; daughter, Sharon Glidewell and step-son Curtis Ray Agan. Roger is survived by his wife, Elsie Brown; sons, Roger Dean (Barbara) Brown, Brian (Becky) Brown and Curtis Brown; daughter, Teresa (Mike) Latham; step-son, Daniel Agan; sisters, Rosemary Grey and Melody Webb; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation for Roger will begin at 6:00 pm on Thursday, April 30, 2015 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Kankakee, Illinois. A memorial service will follow there at 7:00 pm.
