Celebrating the life of Mr. Roderick A. Stanley Roderick A. Stanley was born September 15, 1962, in Chicago, Illinois to Mrs. Gladys L. Stanley and Mr. Frank Stanley (who both preceded him in death). He is the second child, first son. Roderick accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Whitney Young High School and later attended a trade school for electricians. Roderick was a cook, a grill master, a protector, a comedian, and a jack of all trades. Keeping loved ones laughing is what he likes the most. Roderick also loves being outdoors, either sitting outside or walking for miles, literally. Roderick leaves to cherish his memory of his current wife of 25 years Mrs. Darlene Anderson, whom he loved and built a solid foundation. Roderick also leaves his only son, Roderick Marcus, his mother Cassandra, and grandchildren Eric, Trinity, Trishton (who preceded him in death), Amir, Asia, and Zariyah. Roderick also was blessed to raise two sets of stepchildren, whom he always calls his kids Amesha, Anthony (who preceded him in death), Darnika (Jamar), and Daniel. Grand-Children Heaven, Miracle, Montay, Anthony Jace, Josiah, and Nyla. Roderick leaves to cherish his memory two sisters Felecia Stanley (David), and Sylvia Stanley-Brantley (Otis), and two brothers George Stanley (April) and Robert Stanley. Roderick also has a host of nieces and nephews Sherrena (Trevon, Jesse, Darrion, and Sariya), George Michael, Raymond Nicholas, Jace, Geordan, Leah, Tiara, Stephon, Jalen, Emanuel, and Quinton, also a host of great-nieces and nephews. Roderick leaves to cherish sister-in-laws Wanda Briscoe (Donald) Stephanie Cooper, Tracey Sprouse (Otis), Carolyn Sprouse, and Brother-in-law Calvin Sprouse. Roderick always talked about and traveled with his favorite cousin Alvin. Roderick leaves to cherish his memory a host of cousins, friends, and extended family. Our Chef will be missed and never forgotten!
