Nécrologie de Patrick Egenolf
Patrick James Egenolf died unexpectedly on January 19, 2021, at the young age of 62. He joined his parents, Paul and Verina (Kluesner), in heaven. Patrick is survived by his wife, Christi (Heuser), of 36 years; his sons, Austin, Evan, and Owen Egenolf, and daughter Audra Long (Charles); his grandchildren, Ryan and Christiana Long; and his brothers, Vince, Steve (Eileen), Daniel (Jan), and Doug (Chryl) Egenolf and sisters, Anna Stringer and Terry Corn (Bob). Pat was born in Indianapolis on July 20, 1958. He attended St. Roch Grade School and graduated from Perry Meridian High School in 1976, where he was both a wrestler and football player. He attended Indiana University, where he played football for one year, and earned a Business degree in 1981. Pat married his high school sweetheart, Christi, on November 24, 1984. They had four children, and he was fiercely loyal to his family. To others, he appeared tough, but his family brought out his tender heart. He loved coaching and watching his children participate in sports and there was not a game, meet or activity that he missed attending. He was a pilot, race car driver, skier, avid sports spectator, and collegiate athlete. He loved go-karting, riding dirt bikes, being outside, and hunting. He enjoyed taking family vacations-snow skiing and the beach-and traveling with Christi, most recently vacationing on cruises. He was Poppy to his grandchildren, who were the apple of his eye. They absolutely adored him, and he melted anytime he saw them. He was an entrepreneur, very generous, and a hardworking man, who was always up for a challenge to fix or repair anything. He had an independent spirit, in which he instilled in all his children. Above all else, he was a family man who would do anything for the ones he loved. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
