Michael, a man known for being a valuable friend with a love for his community, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2024. Born on November 29, 1960, Michael's life was a tapestry woven with meaningful connections, outdoor adventures, and a generous spirit that touched the hearts of all who knew him. Michael was a devoted son to his parents Clayton & Lucille, cherished brother to Alison, Alisia, Bryan, Maurice, and Brad, and loving father to his daughter Ash.
Michael’s loyalty and compassion made him an invaluable friend, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a heartfelt laugh. He took immense pride in his 25-year career at Eli Lillys & Co., where his dedication and work ethic were constantly admired by his peers. His earlier years were marked by a diverse array of experiences, from driving semis to working at RSR Quemetco, demonstrating his adaptability and adventurous spirit. Beyond work, Michael's passion for life was evident in his love for basketball, fishing, RV camping, jazz, and cowboy movies. His passion for golfing was particularly well-known, especially when it brought him together with his beloved family and friends.
Michael is proceeded in death by his brothers Maurice and Brad, and father Clayton. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and the community he enriched with his presence.
A visitation for Michael will be held Sunday, March 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home, 700 W. 38th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46208, followed by a celebration of life at 11:00 AM.
