Mrs. Martha Annabelle Newman

Martha Annabelle Newman, age 86, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023. Martha was born April 20, 1937 to Edgar and Melena "Helen" Clements. She attended Emerson Avenue Baptist Church for many years until her health prevented it. Martha is survived by her children, Steven Newman and Daniel Newman; grandchildren, William, Elizabeth, Jonte, Robert Jr. and Aurora; siblings, Mary Fuller and Edna Edens; and many nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Newman; son, Robert Newman; parents, Edgar and Helen Clements; and siblings, Frances, Carolyn, Doris, Margaret and Edgar Jr. A visitation for Martha will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at Feeney Hornak Shadeland Mortuary, 1307 N. Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46219. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm. Martha will be laid to rest at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis.
