Margaret Blythe Potts

Margaret Blythe Potts, age 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022. Blythe was born March 6, 1933 in Garden City, Kansas to the late Hope Foster Guy and RC Guy. She is also preceded in death by her sisters, Robbie Guy and Ruth Sheldon. Blythe was a graduate of Kansas State University and went on to earn her Master's Degree at Butler. At Kansas State she was crowned Homecoming Queen and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. Blythe would continue her love of being involved with others socially with her golf group at Hillcrest Country Club, the Live Right crew, and the Coffee Club, whose members provided the Potts family with many memories and antidotes. Many wonderful times were shared on the golf course and at breakfast with the ladies. She worked at Methodist hospital helping to educate others in the Microbiology Department. She was an adventurous spirit, had been an active scuba diver, and traveled all around the world. Blythe was an active member of Castleton United Methodist Church and her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren will miss her dearly. Margaret is survived by her husband, Jack Potts; son, Bradley Potts; daughter, Lisa Pass (Rick); grandchildren, Gerry Pass, Meggan Abblitt, and Brian Beuerman; and great grandchildren, Kingston and Evelyn Pass. A memorial service for Margaret will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 with visitation at 1:00 PM and a service at 2:00 PM at Castleton United Methodist Church, 7101 Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, Indiana 46256. Additionally, a Celebration of Life gathering and reception will be held March 6 (Blythe’s birthday) at Hillcrest Country Club, 6098 Fall Creek Rd, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
