Obituary of Lorne Allen Hill “Boobie” On June 30, 2021, at 9:54 pm ET, the life of Lorne Allen Hill, son of Thomas and Loree Hill, ended and he began his eternal rest in the arms of the Lord. Lorne was affectionately known as “Boobie” by his family. He was 58 years old. Lorne was a true sports aficionado. From the Indianapolis Colts to the Chicago Cubs, from the Indy 500 to the horses in Kentucky, from the one-armed bandit to a friendly game of Bid Whist, he relished games of chance. He was boisterous, loud, funny and sly. He was larger than life, almost too large for this world. He attended Indiana University in Bloomington from 1981-1983 and worked for over 30 years at the United States Postal Service – first as a casual employee, then as a full-time mail clerk. He never married and did not father any children, but played a prominent role in the lives of his nieces and nephews. Lorne’s father preceded him in death. He is survived by his mother, Loree Hill; his brother, Anthony (Juliette); his sister, Twanna LaTrice of Denver, CO; Nieces Lovette, Lorita of Las Vegas, NV, and Janaya; Nephew Evin (Elsy); Grand-Nieces Anya, Luna, and Noelle; and Grand-Nephews Bjorn, Trenton, Travis and Eson. He was much loved and will be missed. Services will be held at Williams and Bluitt Funeral Home, 5252 E. 38th St., Indianapolis, IN, 46218 on Monday, July 12. The viewing will be from 10 am to 12 pm. Services will begin at 12 pm, with internment immediately following at Crown Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery. Flowers for the service can be sent directly to Williams and Bluitt.
