John L Morris Jr.

On Monday February 24, 2020 at the age of 67, John L. Morris Jr. passed peacefully at home with his children, Monique and Khristopher by his bedside. John was born on December 18, 1952 in Indianapolis Indiana to John and Katie (Graham) Morris. He lived a full life that included serving in the United States Army, being a corrections officer and achieving his career goal of being a police officer for the Indianapolis Public School System, which he retired from in December of 2016 after 18 years of service. John is preceded in death by his father, John Sr, his mother, Katie; his sister Maurica and his grandson, Liam. He leaves cherished memories to 5 children, Monique (Trez) Johnson, Khristopher (Jennifer) Morris, Khrysten Morris, Toby Morris and John Morris III. He will be forever remembered by his grandchildren, Joseph, Isaiah, Kaden, Samiah, Maisie, Tavion and Aiden; sibilings, Russell(Lela) Graham, Jerry Morris, Nina Sinkfield, Dianne Morris and Khrystyan Morris Moore; a host of nieces, nephews many relatives and friends Funeral Service for John will be held, 12:00 pm, Thursday, March 5, 2020, at Williams & Bluitt Funeral Home Peoples' Chapel, 5252 East 38th Street, Indianapolis, Indiana, with visitation from 10:00 am until time of service at 12:00 pm. Interment will follow at Washington Park North Cemetery, 2702 Kessler Blvd West Drive, Indianapolis, IN.
