Dorothy Milhon Doll, 94, was born February 11, 1924 and died December 27, 2018 in Carmel, IN.
Dorothy served in the U.S. Navy during WW II. After the war ended she was married to George Edwin Milhon who died in 1979. In 1980 she fulfilled a lifelong dream an opened the first travel agency in Plainfield, IN. In 1984 she married John Richard Doll, a friend from Plainfield High School. They lived in Palos Verdes, CA until his death in 2011, at which point she moved back to Indiana and was lovingly cared for by her son James (Jim), and enjoyed the company of other family.
Throughout the years, she served on the altar guild at her various churches, traveled extensively, grew the most beautiful roses on the block and quilted hundreds of bright and cheerful baby quilts for premature babies and children on kidney dialysis, as well as family and friends. Studying about natural health and nutrition was a passion of hers.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Corrine Eubank; brothers, Robert (Bob) and William (Bill) Eubank; and her daughter, Sharon Milhon Enderle.
Having lived a full and happy life as a wonderful mother, she is survived by her sister, Beverly (Eubank) Russell; sons, James (Jim) and Mark Milhon; daughters, Karen Milhon and Mary Ann (Milhon) Cottrell; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be planned at a later time.
