David Price

David Price, 87 of Indianapolis, Indiana transitioned peacefully surrounded by family members on Monday, August 19, 2024. David was born on April 4, 1937, in Vaiden, Mississippi to the late Willie and Leora Price, who preceded him in death, and later his brothers Moses Price, Samuel Price, sister Pearline Price, and his grandson Tamarie’ Brock. David attended B.F. Ford High School in New Albany, Mississippi (formally U.C.T.S High School). He retired from Twin Disc in 1997 after 25 years of service. After moving to Indianapolis, he worked as an office assistant at Nutrition Inc. David gave his heart to Christ at an early age and trusted God to lead him in all he did in his life. He was a current member of Kingsley Terrace church of Christ. He was also a devoted member of Midtown Church of Christ in Racine, Wisconsin for many years where he served as Treasurer and song leader. David fathered two daughters Rosemarie Brock and Sheila O’Neal from a prior marriage. David and Sudie Price were married in 1994 and from this marriage, he gained two bonus children, a son Shannon, and a daughter Karen. David had a true passion for cooking and fishing. Many family members affectionately knew him as Papa. He was a loving, compassionate man who was always there to help any and everyone. He was outgoing and never met a stranger. David Price is survived by his loving wife of 30 years Sudie Price, brothers James Price and Joseph Price, children Marie Brock (Terence), Sheila O’Neal (Christopher), Shannon Shaw (Rochelle), Karen Johnson, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. A visitation for David will be held Monday, August 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Crown Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 700 W. 38th St., Indianapolis, Indiana 46208, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 PM
