Carol Margaret Sullivan Boyle, 84, passed away peacefully on Holy Saturday afternoon, March 30th, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was born on May 18th,1939 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Edwin and Mary Sullivan, both of whom preceded her in death. Carol attended St. Joan of Arc grade school, St. Agnes High school and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University. On July 13th 1963 Carol married the love of her life, Arthur Aloyisius Boyle at St. Joan of Arc church in Indianapolis, Indiana. Carol is survived by her husband, of 60 years, Arthur Aloysius Boyle their six children, and 18 grandchildren Mary Colleen Rodgers of Lewes, Delaware, Sean and Marnie; Kathleen McAuley (Doug) of Indianapolis, Patrick, Caroline, and Brian; Arthur Boyle (Yara) of Indianapolis, Arthur Joseph and Gabryela; Meg Brady (John) of Indianapolis, Abby, Charlie, Danny and Quinn; Amy Koscielski (Paul) of Indianapolis Grace, Maeve, Claire and John Paul; and Maureen Ernst (Chris) of Cincinnati Kelly, Jack and David. In addition, she is survived by her sister, Kathy Sullivan Gray, and many nieces and nephews. Carol gave of her time and talent to her community. She was an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish and CYO athletics. She volunteered her time at Day Nursery, The Lord’s Pantry at Anna’s House, Little Sisters of the Poor, and was an avid volunteer at Cathedral High School. In her free time, Carol enjoyed spending time with her family, playing golf, tennis and Gin Rummy. In addition to her parents Carol is predeceased by her three brothers, Larry, Michael (Diana), Eddy Sullivan, and her sister Mary Ann (Charlie) Pfeiffer. Carol was devoted to her family and faith. She will always have a special place in her heart for the Blessed Mother. In Lieu of flowers the Boyle family would like donations to The Alzheimer's Association and The Little Sisters of the Poor. Family and friends will gather on Friday April 5th, 2024 from 10AM to 12PM at Immaculate Heart of Mary church, 5692 Central Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46220, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12PM.
